Does OpenWallet hold my money?

No. Your keys are made and kept on your device, encrypted with your password. OpenWallet cannot move your funds.

Do I have to write down a seed phrase?

You do not have to manage one. Once your wallet is protected with OpenWallet ID, your sign-in, your authenticator app and your Recovery Kit restore it. Your 24 words still exist and you can export them from Settings.

I lost my computer.

Install OpenWallet on another device, choose to recover, load your Recovery Kit and sign in. The wallet is back after a 72-hour safety wait.

I forgot my password.

The password unlocks the wallet on this device. Remove the wallet in Settings, then recover it with your Recovery Kit and your sign-in (after the 72-hour wait), or import it with your 24 words, and choose a new password.

I lost my Recovery Kit.

While your wallet still opens, make a new one from Settings. The old kit stops working once the new one is checked.

Someone asked me for a code.

It is not OpenWallet. OpenWallet never asks for codes on a website. Type email and authenticator codes only inside the extension. OpenWallet never asks for your codes, your recovery code or your Recovery Kit on a website, by email or by message.

Why can I not send all my XRP?

The XRP Ledger locks 1 XRP in every account and 0.2 XRP for every token it holds. The wallet shows this as Locked for account reserve.

Why am I warned about a token called RLUSD?

Because its issuer is not Ripple. Anyone can issue a token with any name. The wallet asks you to confirm that you know it is a different token.

A payment did not arrive at an exchange.

Check the destination tag. Exchanges need the right tag to know the payment is yours. If it is missing or wrong, contact the exchange with the transaction link from Activity.

Can a payment be cancelled?

No. Once the ledger validates a payment, it is final. A payment that expired before validation was never made.

Does it work on my phone?

The wallet is a desktop browser extension for Chrome and Edge. AI apps on your phone can still connect to it; you approve their payments in the extension.

Can an AI agent use my wallet?

Never your main wallet. An AI app you connect pays from a separate agent wallet you fund, within limits you set, and you approve each payment. You can lose at most what you put in it.
